Who We Are

About IMAR

International Multidisciplinary Academic Research is an independent open-access publisher dedicated to advancing scholarship across all disciplines, with a commitment to rigorous peer review, accessibility, and global reach.

Our Mission

To provide a rigorous, accessible, and internationally recognized platform for researchers, academics, and practitioners to disseminate their scholarly work — regardless of institutional affiliation or geographic location.

Our Vision

To become a leading open-access publisher in Southeast Asia, recognized internationally for the quality, integrity, and diversity of research published across our multidisciplinary journal portfolio.

Our Values

Integrity, transparency, and inclusivity guide everything we do. We uphold COPE publication ethics standards and are committed to fast, constructive, double-blind peer review for every submission.

Our Story

Founded to Fill a Gap

IMAR was founded in 2024 in response to a growing need among Indonesian researchers for a credible, open-access, multidisciplinary publisher that could serve both national and international academic communities.

We observed that many high-quality research outputs — particularly from community service (pengabdian) programs — lacked a proper, indexed publication venue. IMAR was built to change that.

Operating on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, each IMAR journal maintains its own dedicated subdomain, editorial board, and scope — ensuring that specialized research receives the focused, expert review it deserves.
